I feel very blessed to be given the opportunity to reconnect with George upon his return to the UK. He had become a very dear and treasured friend who I will miss greatly. George was a larger than life character with a very big, kind and generous heart. Rest in peace dearest George.

I first met George + Jane in Dec 1975 where we shared a large house in Groby. I lived with them for two happy fun filled years. On Sundays we took turns to cook lavish meals. We had many parties, frequented local pubs with ‘lock ins’ and played cards. We first became parents in 1984 and with our new families we enjoyed holidays in Norfolk, Cornwall and Devon. We visited them in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2013. When they returned to the UK they moved to our city of Bath and as friends we once more shared meals together and the friendship blossomed again. I shall miss him hugely. I will even miss his terrible jokes. Rest in peace dear friend.
